Before DiCesare-Engler, Pat DiCesare and his friend Sonny Vaccaro revolutionized recruiting in basketball when they start the Dapper Dan Roundball Classic - the first All-Star High School basketball game. The inaugural game was held at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena in 1965.
